30 Jan “California Promise”

Everyone deserves a safe neighborhood to live in, safe parks to play in and safe schools to learn in. This is not achieved through soft on crime policies, weak laws with loopholes and a criminal justice system that seems only to seek justice for the criminals. Our state and local law enforcement agencies have the knowledge, experience and dedicated men and women necessary to protect victims and prevent crime. By making your voices heard to our politicians you can help give us that legislative support that is also necessary for us to do our job.”
– Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez and President of ARCCOPS on the steps of the Capitol in Sacramento
Chief Gonzalez was joined by other members of ARCCOPS and state legislators as they introduced a public safety bill package called “California Promise,” designed to provide resources to law enforcement and victims while demanding real consequences for crime sprees spreading across the state. Chief Bob Newman, Chief of Police of the Corona Police Department and Chief Joe DelGuidice, Chief of the Bureau of Investigation, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office were among those in attendance.
